Automotive DOPCars are some of my favourite things to shoot.
I've worked as DOP and 2nd unit DP on car commercials and launches for Ferrari, Maserati, Ford, Nissan, Mazda, Bentley, Jaguar and Triumph, from Norwegian fjords and the Alps to Le Mans and the Cornish coast.
Good car work is about movement, reflections and timing. I plan every shot around the light and the road: low sun on paintwork, the right lens for the line of the car, and camera moves that feel fast but stay smooth.
How I shoot cars
Remote heads on tracking vehicles, with Ronin 2 and MōVI on car mounts and arms.
Ronin 4D for close interiors and driver shots.
Aerial and tracking shots kept in the same look as the main unit.
Safe working on closed roads and private tracks with precision drivers.

I operate remote heads on tracking vehicles and can bring a full tracking setup through Light Colour Sound.
Can you shoot car launches abroad?
Yes. Much of my car work is overseas: Norway, France, the Alps and beyond.
