I've been shooting from the air since 2012, on commercials for Honda Marine, LNER and Omaze, and on TV drama and documentary. As the DOP, I make sure the aerials match the main unit: the same colour, the same feel to the lenses, the same pace.
That means fewer surprises in the edit and a film that looks like one piece, whether the drone is tracking a car on a mountain pass or a boat at sea.
